Shenyang Jianzhu University
Shenyang Jianzhu University (the original Shenyang Architectural and Civil Engineering Institute) established in 1948 is the only one with its priority given to Civil Engineering and Architecture as well as multi-disciplinary education overlapping among engineering science, industry, literature, administration, nature science, agronomy and law in Liaoning Province.
Of the total area of 1,038,960 square meters and total building area of 590,000 square meters, the new campus spans 765,900 square meters with building area of 350,000 square meters in ¡°college town¡± of Hunnan New District in Shenyang. The university has 15 subordinate schools and 1560 faculty members.Current enrollment consists of nearly 18,000 degree candidates, including 12,000 undergraduates, 730 graduates as well as foreign students, and students enrolled in adult and professional schools.
Shenyang Aerospace University
Founded in 1952, the university was initially administered by the Ministry of Aeronautical & Astronautical Industry, and later by the China General Corporation of Aeronautical Industry. Since 1999, SAU has been under the administration of the Liaoning Provincial Government and is the only university owned by the China Industry and Information Technology Ministry and the Liaoning Provincial Government. It is one of the eight universities constructed by the former China National Defence Ministry and local provincial governments. In addition, it is the only university of aeronautical and astronautical engineering in Liaoning Province.
On 18 March 2010 the China Ministry of Education approved the name change from Shenyang Institute of Aeronautical Engineering (SYIAE) to Shenyang Aerospace University (SAU)
Chemical University
In 1952, Shenyang Chemical Industry Technical School was established. In 1958 it was upgraded to a college and named Shenyang Institute of Chemical Technology. In 1960, the name was changed to Liaoning University of Science and Technology. In 1962, it revered to Shenyang Institute of Chemical Technology. On January 21, 2010, it was renamed Shenyang University of Chemical Technology.
Shenyang Pharmaceutical University
Shenyang Pharmaceutical University has historical traditions that have brought it to prominence as one of two comprehensive pharmaceuticaluniversities in all of China. The university started at Ruijin in the Jiangxi in 1931 and moved to its present location on the banks of the Hun Riverin Shenyang, Liaoning in 1949.

Yangtze University is located in the famous ancient historic city of Jingzhou on the middle reaches of the Yangtze River . SMC is a medical institution of higher learning in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, P. R. China. It was formerly known as Shenyang Municipal Advanced Practice Nurse School . The school opened in 1949 and was renamed Shenyang Advanced Medical School, directly managed under the provincial administration, in 1958. It was upgraded to Shenyang Medical College in 1987. The college expanded in size, increased the number of specialties offered and improved in operations.
